How do e-cigarette users view their health?

Many people are very health-conscious, so do people who smoke e-cigarettes really care about health issues?

Although the NHS has publicly acknowledged that e-cigarettes are an effective tool for quitting traditional smoking, e-cigarettes have often been questioned and controversial over the years, and people have always believed that e-cigarette users do not care about their health and that smoking e-cigarettes can cause great harm.

However, a recent survey conducted by Vape Superstore revealed the health habits of e-cigarette users, challenging common stereotypes and revealing people’s surprising concern for physical health and well-being.

Contrary to what people think in reality, e-cigarette users are not a group of reckless people who disregard their health.

According to the survey data, a considerable number of e-cigarette users put health first in all aspects of their lives, and they also studied e-cigarettes for a long time before considering e-cigarettes.

A total of 2,660 e-cigarette users were asked about their health attitudes in terms of alcohol, fitness, supplements and sleep. Here is a breakdown of the main findings:

Alcohol Consumption:

  • Moderation is Key: 21% of e-cigarette users consider themselves sober about their e-cigarette use, and another 22% of users drink alcohol less than once a month.
  • Non-Alcoholic Alternatives: For these drinkers, non-alcoholic cocktails and non-alcoholic beer are their first choice, which shows that they tend to drink more consciously and have strict control over health safety.

Fitness and Exercise:

  • Active Lifestyles: Not all e-cigarette users have a strict daily exercise habit, but among them (44%), they maintain physical exercise at least once a week to stay healthy and integrate it into their lives.
  • Dog Walking as a Popular Choice: Another thing that many people have in common is that 40% of e-cigarette users use playing with their dogs as their main form of exercise, combining physical activity with mental health.

Dietary Supplements:

  • Selective Supplementation: Most e-cigarette users (74%) are not interested in dietary supplements, which they consider unhealthy and contain synthetic chemical additives.
  • Focus on Essential Nutrients: More and more people are choosing vitamin and mineral supplements, with vitamin products and mineral products such as vitamin D, vitamin B, C and iron being the most popular choices, as they can replenish more energy, indicating that they want to maintain optimal health.

Sleep and Focus:

  • Sleep Patterns: According to the survey, many e-cigarette users (37%) only sleep 6-7 hours a night, which is less than the 7-9 hours recommended by the NHS. However, the depth of sleep may be different for each person, and deep sleep only takes 6 hours to be full of energy.
  • High Levels of Focus: Some people also say that smoking e-cigarettes will make their concentration collapse, but according to the survey, a considerable number of e-cigarette users (39%) said that they have a high degree of concentration, while only 7% said it is difficult to concentrate.
  • Balanced Energy Levels: Most e-cigarette users (50%) felt their energy levels were normal on a regular basis, with only 11% saying they often felt a lack of energy.

Commenting on the findings from the survey, David Phillips from Vape Superstore said:

“There are still many misconceptions about vaping, either that they are unhealthy or that they are careless because of the dangers of vaping. This survey proves otherwise as it shows that they are health conscious; most notably, 21% of vapers are aware.

“The seemingly positive relationship between vaping and health further highlights that vaping is a tool to help quit smoking, as the NHS recommends.”

These findings point to negative stereotypes about e-cigarette users. Survey data suggests that many e-cigarette users are actively working towards a healthier optimal lifestyle, making more conscious choices about their alcohol consumption, exercise habits, dietary supplements, and sleep patterns.

As society progresses and the e-cigarette industry continues to grow, it is critical to rely on evidence-based research and accurate information to give more people more real data.

The Vape Superstore survey provides valuable insights into the health habits of e-cigarette users, highlighting their commitment to a healthier future.

It is time to think carefully, transcend your stereotypes and recognize the potential benefits of e-cigarettes as a harm reduction tool. E-cigarettes are less harmful than cigarettes and will not cause great harm as long as they are not used excessively.
